Kalani came to us from a Texas Shelter where she was in pretty rough shape when she was found on the street. The Doctors think she got hit by a car as well as other signs of abuse. Kalani had two broken back legs with 5 fractures total as well as a broken hip and fractured pelvis. She is now in recovery and has been doing so well. She is a tad timid with new people but is learning trust every day. Our vet believes she had snaptic nerve damage on her back leg. The synaptic nerve controls the toes and since it is damaged her back toes on one leg drag, but don't believe there is any pain from it and she even wears a booty on her foot to prevent this from happening. She is currently going through passive range of motion rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy in order to speed up the healing process. Kalani is now ready to be in a home, but will need a patient home who is willing to work with her! If you're interested please apply online today!
