If you are returned to this page before being taken to the PayPal page to pay the required $25 application fee it indicates that there was a problem with one or more of fields on your application and it was unable to be submitted. If this happens please go back through the application and review each field to ensure there is no error indicated and then re-submit.
Before filling out the adoption form please read though all the information on this page and take some time to look at the pictures and profiles of our wonderful Available Dogs so that you can include the name(s) of the dog(s) you are interested in on your application.
Once you have read all of the information contained here CHECK THE BOX at the bottom of this page to acknowledge having read and understood the information and agreeing to the stated stipulations. Then click the green "Fill Out Adoption Application" button to fill out and submit your application to begin the approval process.
Young purebred husky puppies typically never make it to our website, PetFinder, Adopt-a-Pet or RescueMe.org etc., this is because we maintain a waiting list of pre-approved applicants.
If you wish to be placed on the puppy waiting list rather than selecting from our currently available dogs, please enter "Purebred Husky Puppy Waiting List" in the "Interested in a specific dog or dogs" field on your application form.
If you are interested in adopting multiple dogs, you only need to submit one application and donate the $25 application fee once. Simply indicate on your application the dogs you are interested in. Once your application is approved, you will need to make the appropriate adoption fee donation total for the number of dogs you are adopting.
Application Fee Donation (due at time of application)
All dogs are spayed or neutered and up to date on their vaccinations, and de-worming prior to being released for adoption.
All dogs are micro-chopped with GTS Husky Rescue as the owner for life prior to the dog being released for adoption.
We do not allow update of micro-chip owner information so that any of our dogs that later end up in a shelter are returned to us.
If you adopt a GTS dog and the dog is lost you must notify GTS immediately using our Contact GTS page.
Failure to notify GTS that your adopted dog is missing demonstrates a lack of desire on your part to have the dog returned to you and a lack of commitment to the animal. As such failure to notify GTS immediately after the dog is lost will result in you forfeiting your rights to the dog and application fee and adoption fee donations will not be refunded.
GTS will only notify adopters that the dog they adopted has been found and returned to GTS from a shelter or vet if we were already notified by you that the dog was missing.
GTS reserves the right not to return dogs that end up in a shelter to the adopter at our discretion.
Before returning any lost dog to an adopter GTS will need to gain a understanding of how the dog was lost resulting in it ending up in a shelter where it may have been euthanized.
Submitting an application is not a guarantee that you'll receive the dog you apply for.
Applications are typically screened in the order we receive them but we do NOT work on a "first come, first serve" or "first in, first out" basis. Dogs often receive multiple applications and we strive to ensure each animal is placed in the home that would be most suitable to its personality, quarks, energy level and behavior.
If the dog that you apply for is no longer available by the time your application is approved, you will be offered alternatives to choose from.
If theAvailable Dogs at the time your application is approved are not to your liking, you may either request to be removed from consideration or you may choose wait until another dog is available more to your liking.
In either case however the $25 application fee is non-refundable.
In the unlikely event you decide to return a dog you have adopted we will not charge you a surrender fee but the application and adoption fee you donated are not refundable.
Unless you meet our STRICT guidelines your application will not be approved and we will not adopt to you. The $25 Application Fee is a donation and it is Non-Refundable.
